My kids (10 & 12) participated in a medical study, and received around $900 each. We got 1099misc for both, my name is on the 1099 above theirs, how do I file this?

Since your name is on the 1099s, you can file this with your return.

Sign into TurboTax

  • Click Take me to my return
  • Click on Federal in left column
  • Scroll down to Other Common Income
  • Click on Start for Form 1099-MISC and follow instructions

Thank you, that's what I thought, but it threw me off because when I did that all of the questions were phrased as if I had done the study not them, and I wasn't sure if that mattered or not.
