Failure to provide promised services. How do I claim my refund on the cost of the TT program?

Well, it seems I am unable to file my Federal taxes online because I keep getting the:

Electronic Filing Rejection code: F2210-003



I have tried to E-File my Federal taxes several times (after the 2/15/19 and the 2/22/19 TT program updates) but it still gets rejected. Finally the “solution” that you offer for Windows Desktop is as follows:


If Part II Box A is checked and you are eligible for the 85% Waiver, your return cannot be electronically filed.  You must print and file your return by mail.”


So clearly you are not providing the E-Filing of a Federal return that you promised when I purchased your Turbotax Premium product. I therefor request and expect a refund on the price I paid. I think $19.95 (what you charge for online filing of a State return) would be an appropriate refund for failing to provide the promised E-Filing of my Federal return.


Don't try to blame this issue on the IRS, you promised to provide Federal E-File with the product you sold and you failed to provide it.

So how do I claim my refund on the cost of the TT program?

To contact TurboTax customer service/support use their contact website during business hours.  If the problem concerns any type of refund for fees, use the key words billing issues and do Not use the word Refund or you will get a phone number for tax refunds.

Thank you DoninGA for the prompt and complete reply.
I cannot say yet whether your answer will help me or not because I created a support question and got an ID. I called support and spoke to a young lady (unfortunately I didn't get her name). She read my question and said "please wait while I research this". I heard her come back but she just hung up the phone.

I called support again and got the telephone auto system run around and eventually got on the list to support but it is now a 40 minute wait so I have asked for a call back ....we will see if I get one.

If Intuit/Turbotax thinks this issue is going to go away by ignoring it they are very much mistaken. I am not in the habit of paying for goods and services and not getting what was promised.

Well I am pleased to say that TT support did call me back and after dealing with "Brendan" I was sent to the "escalated product support" team where "Jasmine" dealt with my issue in a professional manner giving me a new support number and instructions on how to return the product for a refund. Once received it will take 6 to 8 weeks to process so we will have to see if it all works out. In the meantime can definitely "recommend" your answer. Thank you for your help.
