Tax Year Prior to 2020: Why can’t I file my state taxes electronically?

What State and Form are you trying to file? I'd like to confirm whether or not the Form is available for e-Filing.

It’s for Massachusetts. I’m not sure what form it is, the printed out version says MA resident income tax return for full year residents. Not sure If this helps. Thanks!

Generally when this is the case it means that a form on your state return has not been finalized yet, so you are unable to e-file your return. You can check the forms and when they will be finalized by clicking here: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/forms/help/state-forms-availability-table-for-turbotax-individual-...
