Tax Year Prior to 2020: Under the final screen it says my refund will be $2,128 but when I go to pay it says $899. Big difference.

Keep in mind that the refund meter is dynamic and may recalculate with every click and change on your return. Your refund will not be finalized until completion and ready to file.

At the end Turbo Tax shows you a summary of the net combined federal and state. But that is only for your info. You will still get the full amount and need to pay any tax due separately yourself.   So you might owe for state?  Or the $2,128 is both refunds combined?

 Federal and state refunds come separately from different places at different times.
