Tax Year Prior to 2020: I used my tax refund to pay my Turbo Tax fees out of convenience. As this process uses an intermediary bank, will this affect my stimulus payment from the federal government?

For clarification, I provided my account information for direct deposit, but as the stimulus goes through a intermediary bank, I want to make sure that the IRS will still be able to deposit direfctly

It is unknown at this time.

Specific guidance has not been provided as far as how the stimulus checks will be sent out.

Has this been provided yet? A week later, when they say people may be seeing them this week?

TURBO TAX should have this info available on their site

The IRS is still working on the details whether they will be using intermediary banks  for payments of stimulus checks. The IRS also promised to create a portal where taxpayers can go and update their banking information. We are still waiting for an update on when the system will become operational.
