Tax Year Prior to 2020: Can I efile my federal return while waiting on a Schedule I update to efile my wisconsin return?

I recommend hat you do not file Federal until WI is ready too (Besides, something else may come in the mail in the meantime that you need to include too)

A Schedule I  isn't a part of the software for WI yet...(It has some additions and subtractions from federal income to yield WI income)....WI changed it and had it re-issued in late January, but the TTX software has to be adjusted to integrate the changes and tested to include it to work properly with everything else..

The WI Schedule I is "currently" scheduled to be ready 6 Feb...but check back on the 8th , go thru the WI interview again, and see if you can file it then.

I have been through the state steps several times. I have also gone online looking for updates. Nothing happens. I still cannot finish my state return due to the schedule I not being completed. What's up?

According to Turbo Tax the Wisconsin schedule 1 is available to e-file. If you are having trouble with e-filing, you can also download the form and mail in your Wisconsin state return.
