System error trying to save return in progress

I finished all sections on the 2024 tax return using my paid desktop version on my Mac (Sequoia 15.3).  It asked me to select a password for the save file and then stopped functioning at the “pick a password question”. This select box cannot be moved.  The app menu selections at the top of the screen do not work. I can’t save the draft return file with 4 hours work. I cannot reset the system. It is totally hung up. No error messages.
