You mentioned "numbers" which I assume you are filing Married Filing Jointly. Please make sure to verify the information for both taxpayers.

If it is your AGI, you can change this in the filing section of the program.

• Click on "File" in your Menu Bar on the left-hand side of your screen.
• Choose Step 3 and click "Start"
• Next screen would be your "Filing Choice" where you chose to e-file. 
• Click Continue, you will see the screen "Last Year's Info" next to each person is an "edit" link
• Click "Edit" next to the name and click "Continue" 
• Proceed to the next section to make any updates or changes to the AGI for 2016

For certain states like Illinois, you are required to have a pin number. Entering the wrong number can cause your return to be rejected as well. 

Verify Your IL PIN at https://www.revenue.state.il.us/app/pini/servlet/PINInquiry . Make sure to enter all 8 digits.
