Started return 4 days ago, clicked Deluxe Edition for $29.99 said that state filing was included. Finished return. Checkout total added $39.99 for state. What gives?

deluxe edition includes state filing, but it does not include free electronic filing to state. you can mail it in for free, but you have to pay if you want to efile your state return. it is bad wording on turbo taxes part. 39.99 is the amount due if you want your state efiling fee to come out of your refund. otherwise, it is 19.99 and you use a credit card to pay the fee.
