For a married couple, the standard deduction for $24,000. If one of spouses is 65 or older or legally blind, there is an increase of $1,300, bringing it to $25,300.

I also believe that for each person 65 an additional increase of $1,300 gets added.  So, if a married couple with a joint tax return are both seniors, the total should be: $26,600.
