St Louis City refund multiple years

When entering multiple year refunds for the City of St Louis Turbo Tax is only looking back to 2023 to see if I took standard deduction which I did.  However, the years previous to that when I enter the refund it does not look back to see I applied the standard deduction (I used Turbo Tax every year) so it is taxing those refunds.  Will Turbo tax fix this error, or do you have a legal work around?  Previous post talk about that the previous years are not taxable but do not address how to fix.

St Louis City refund multiple years

First, make sure you're updating the year that the refund is for when you enter the refund amount. See screenshot.

Then, you'll need to manually calculate the taxable portion of the refund (if any) for each year prior to 2023 using the State and Local Tax Refund Worksheet. The worksheets are located in the instructions for the 1040 for the next respective tax year. For example, the worksheet to determine how much of your 2022 tax refund is taxable can be found in the 2023 instructions.
