Spouse took 2020 RMD, I did not. Yet every time I check the box for No I did not have to take RMD, my spouse's switches to no and yet she took one. I tried it the other way when I checked yes she took RMD and mine switches to Yes that I took RMD (when i didn't). I think I have to go with the No version unless you can help me?

Since technically there was no RMD in 2020 both of you can answer “no”.
Because the CARES Act waived the RMD requirement for 2020, you can select NO with no ill effect.
The CARES Act waives required minimum distributions (RMDs) during 2020 for IRAs and retirement plans, including for beneficiaries with inherited IRAs and accounts inherited in a retirement plan. This waiver also includes RMDs if you turned age 70 ½ in 2019 and took your first RMD in 2020. You’re not required to have been affected by the coronavirus to waive your RMD for 2020.
However, it would be helpful to have a TurboTax ".tax2020" file that is experiencing this issue. You can send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information. If you would like to do this, here are the instructions: Go to the black panel on the left side of your program and select Tax Tools.
We will then be able to see exactly what you are seeing and we can determine what exactly is going on in your return and provide you with a resolution.
