I see a option on turbo tax that i can file married head if house hold if my spouse has no social security number, is not a resident, and does not work. She would be a dependant. So can I mail that tax return with no SS number under my spouse? No need to apply fot ITIN?

Married taxpayers usually file jointly or separately. If your spouse is a nonresident alien, you can file as Head of Household which might increase your refund. To qualify, you need a qualifying person other than your spouse. Here’s a link with a list of qualifying relatives. Here is a TurboTax Help Article explaining this unique exception.
You should apply for a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) by attaching Form W-7 to the front of your tax return when you mail it to the IRS. Leave the SSN field for your spouse blank on Form 1040, so the IRS can fill it in after assigning the TIN.

Your spouse is never your dependent.
Do I have to apply for a ITIN? Will the irs accept a married file joint with NRA with no social security number? I need to do my taxes as quickly as possible to file a 130 and change of status for my wife. Trump might change laws soon
Yes, the IRS will accept your tax return if you file married filing jointly with your Non-Resident Alien spouse, even if they don't have a Social Security number. However, you can't e-file and will need to mail your return to the IRS.
You should still apply for a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) by filling out Form W-7 and attaching it to your tax return. Here is the link to Form W-7.
If you need to file quickly, you can sometimes take a paper copy of your tax return to a local IRS office to speed up processing. Call ahead to schedule an appointment. Here’s a link to the IRS local office website.
OIC. My son has a not for work ss number. He is a non resident living in usa. Can i put him as a dependant? I only see citizen, legal resident, or no citizen options. So i guess he can be a dependant this tax year?
Maybe, Citizens of Canada and Mexico qualify. A resident alien qualifies. You can take a quick quiz Dependent or see Publication 501 - Internal Revenue Service pages 12 and 13 for the full requirements to claim a dependent.
