Some claim Turbotax customers are in a class-action suit regarding the 2019 tax year. Is this bogus, and if not, will the $150 I paid in fees be worth the headache?

I am not aware of a class action suit, but successful companies are often brought to court.  If the fee's you're referring to are for the purchase of TurboTax products, I suggest that they are worth it.  Turbotax successfully files millions of tax returns both in the US and in other countries.

The tax laws are very complex, but if there is an error caused by TurboTax, we guarantee we will cover any Interest and Penalties.

Yes, people just need to verify their eligibility, which Intuit is reluctant to access.

@Matteau You are posting to a two year old thread.

@Matteau If you are one of the users affected by this, you do not have to do anything to prove or show eligibility.   If you started in the Free Edition and were upgraded to a paid version of the software, and had an income of $34,000 or less, then you will automatically receive  a check of about $30 for each of the three tax years covered by that settlement---from 2016 to 2018.    We do not know how soon the payments will be issued.
