Hello, I received social security payments and a NJ state pension payment (retired from working in a NJ school district), and now live in NC. Does NC charge state tax on social security and NJ state pensions?

Social Security income in North Carolina is not taxed. Source
Income from a pension, 401(k), IRA or any other type of retirement account is all taxed at the North Carolina state income tax rate of 5.25%. Unlike many other states, North Carolina does not allow deductions on any type of retirement income. Source
