So i mailed out my tax return to the irs and did not attach my w2 forms to the return...should i print out a return again and this time attach the w2 to the return?

No. Do absolutely nothing at this time. If you do, you'll risk being flagged for fraudulent activity on your IRS account. Just wait, and the IRS will send you a letter requesting any and all forms they require. Do nothing until you get that letter, which could be anywhere from 3 to 8 weeks down the road.
