So I know my husband owes some child support and it will be taken out of our income tax I'm okay with that so that way he is caught up but will it delay the rest of my income tax from being deposited?

Unfortunately yes, it can delay the amount you receive after the offset occurs. Generally the entire refund is taken and the amount applied to the debt and then the remaining is sent as a check to the taxpayer.
