Single vs head of household

I only had around $9,000 in income and filed single instead of head of household. I do have a qualifying child. Would this have made a difference ion my refund?

As long as you claimed your child as a dependent, it doesn't matter since your income is less than your standard deduction plus your personal and dependent exemptions, making your taxable income zero.  Single and HOH use the same chart for the Earned Income Credit.
