If my wife and I have been separated over a year and she has no taxable income should I file single, married or married filing separate?

Since you are still legally married, you will need to file as either married filing jointly and married filing separately. Best way to find out the best option for you to file is to prepare a return both ways and see which one you would prefer to file. Most people benefit more from filing as married filing jointly.

Since you are still legally married, you will need to file as either married filing jointly and married filing separately. Best way to find out the best option for you to file is to prepare a return both ways and see which one you would prefer to file. Most people benefit more from filing as married filing jointly.
