Since I am filing jointly does this mean that I am filing for my husband also? So I wont have to file for him?

If you are filing a joint tax return then ALL of the income information for you and your spouse belongs on the SAME tax return.  ALL of your income, your deductions and credits, dependents (if any)--EVERYTHING.  So, no you will not file a separate return for your husband if you file joint return correctly.
