Should Turbo Tax disregard the rebate amount received once the AGI is finalized?

The return showed $ 406 in rebate but the AGI was over $ 75k. Turbo Tax did not discount it and the return was filed. She now owes the IRS $ 420.00 (includes interest).

I may have used the wrong word when I said rebate. It was actually the stimulus payment

As I mentioned it should not have appeared on the form due to the AGI being less than $75k

Use the AGI that is on line 11, no matter what happened with the recovery rebate later.

If that does not work try zero
