Should I just put in for the injured spouse form?

i recently got married and I have back  fed school loans  that i thought were forgiven thru TPD.  I am in the process of getting the loans discharged again. Will they take me and my wife's taxes? the Treasury offset says I currently have no offsets planned, as does the irs. should I just put in for the injured spouse form? Disability discharge has odd wording on their site to make it Seem like as soon as you tell them you'd like to apply for the discharge, they cannot be offset until a decision has been made. Should I just put the injured spouse form through?

It will not hurt to send in the injured spouse form ... if there is no offset you will get the entire refund.
