I filed my 2020 taxes by mail 12/1/2021 - I have not received a refund yet. I understand that there is a huge back up and I will probably not receive my refund before 2021 taxes are due.
I keep seeing mention of filing with AGI 0 - but what I'm wondering is, if I used the desktop software to do my taxes - should I import my return from the desktop software into the online TurboTax before I start my 2021 return?
Thank you!

Sure go ahead. If the IRS changes something on 2020 it probably won't affect your 2021 return. Yes enter 0 to efile 2021 since you filed 2020 late.
FYI - If you used the Desktop program before you may notice several differences and not like the online version. It has less features and no Forms Mode. You can only do 1 return. Your return is only saved online so be sure to save both the .tax2021 data file and the pdf file to your computer when you are done. In case you need to amend in the future or if you need a copy to get a loan or something. You might not be able to access your online return when you need a copy.
Here's a good link on how to transfer from Desktop to Online.
You can transfer from the prior year on your computer into the Online version. You will need to have the .tax2020 file on your computer. If you used the Desktop program last year here’s How to switch and transfer from the Desktop program into the Online version........
