My child was born in October, 2017 in USA but we traveled to a foreign country before December 31, 2017 because we worked at the Department of State overseas. How many months should I specify in the question that says "How many months did my baby lived in US?

Another question, my niece was born in USA in November, 2017 and stayed in USA until December 31, 2017. How many months does my sister should specify in the question that says "How many months did her baby lived in US? The whole year? 1 month?

For a child born in 2017 use the all year option for both if you are US citizens.
