Should I enter 0$ for my spouse’s gross adjusted income also if we filled jointly. We filled our 2018 taxes after Oct. 2019, so we both enter 0???

The IRS rejected our return since the 2018 number was wrong. But, it’s asking for each to enter the number separately. Is this correct?

If you filed a joint return for 2018 the AGI is the same for each of you.  If you filed late--use zero.  If zero does not let you e-file then you will have to print sign and mail 2019.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

If you filed the 2018 tax return late in 2019 or in 2020, then enter a 0 (zero) for the 2018 AGI for each of you when filing as Married Filing Jointly.

If this is also rejected then you will have to print and mail the tax return.
