Should I be charged to file a state tax return if I'm already paying for TurboTax deluxe?

The paid Online versions? $40 /State

None of them has a free state...that only happens with the Desktop software....and even with Desktop there is a $20-$25 e-file fee for the state.

Yes. There is a fee for federal and a fee for the state.
