That depends. Is the dependant your spouse, and are you filing jointly? If yes to both of the the above questions then yes.
Is the dependent your child? If yes, you still claim them as adependant, but, they *may* need to file their own return, and mark that they can, and are, being claimed as a dependant by someone else.
You cannot use your child's w2 on your return.
Your child may, or may not, need to file a return depending on marital status and income level. However, if they have paid taxes, regardless of whether they are required to file or not, they probably should file. The practice will be good for them, and they may get a refund.
