Self employed health insurance

my husband and i are both self employed and we have insurance through the marketplace. but our insurance is under our personal names and not associated with our businesses. can i still deduct my premiums?

Yes you may.  Please see this IRS link for direct information on this:  https://www.irs.gov/publications/p535/ch06.html#en_US_2016_publink1000208843

Here is how that site defines insurance associated with your business:  

The insurance plan must be established, or considered to be established as discussed in the following bullets, under your business.

  • For self-employed individuals filing a Schedule C, C-EZ, or F, a policy can be either in the name of the business or in the name of the individual.
