Self employed & I have Turbo Tax 2018. I would like to use it to help calculate my 2019 est tax payments. I also have Quicken but have not been able to connect the two

Go to Personal then to Other Tax Situations

then scroll down to Other Tax Forms, to Form W-4 and estimated taxes.

You are using Home and Business and you need to open your return and look at tabs on top.

I do not have a return on this Turbo Tax. My joint return was done on another computer and I was not going to load it onto this one

I do have one more question - I would like to use this Turbo Tax Personal and Business 2018 to estimate my 2019 taxes - what steps do I need to do for this?

You would need to start by opening your current 2018 return.  So you should copy the .tax2018 file from the other computer.  Or do this on the other computer.
