Hello. Does anyone know how to enter Section 1231 loss carryovers in TurboTax? My 2021 tax return indicates that I have Section 1231 losses (subject to recapture) that carry over to tax year 2022 (specifically, I have such losses that carry over from 2017, 2018 and 2019). I am using the desktop version of TurboTax Premier and don't know how to enter these losses (i.e., on which screen). I have been using an accountant to prepare my tax returns over the last decade and have only switched to TurboTax again for tax year 2022. I need a way to input the losses manually one time, and then understand that they will automatically roll forward if I continue to use TurboTax next year. Thanks for any assistance.

You can enter nonrecaptured Section 1231 losses in the Sale of Business Property section of the program (check the appropriate box).
Which version of TurboTax are you using?

Thanks! I am using TurboTax Premier (the desktop version). Does that version have the Sale of Business Property section that you mentioned?
Premier desktop will have all of the requisite forms, but I am not certain about that particular section.
That section does appear in my copy of Home & Business, however.
