Sales tax on specific items--vehicles, remodels, etc.

Tax and Interest spreadsheets correctly generates standard deduction for sales taxes based on inputs.  However, the next item, for deduction of sales taxes on specific items (vehicles, remodels, etc) I am unable to enter any data--the state, the tax rate, required dollar amounts, or type of expense.  Is this a programming error, or am I missing something?
