In Schedule D, how do I get Form 8949 to come up so I can enter sale price and cost/basis, etc. I am assuming I will get a 1099-B.

For the sale of land, as investment property, use the Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other subsection of the program (under the Investment Income section).
Note - that Investment section of the 2023 desktop editions will not be available until 12/21/2023.
Even when the investment sales section of TurboTax is working, you cannot make entries directly on Form 8949. Enter the sale in the Step-by-Step interview. TurboTax will fill out Form 8949 and make the appropriate entries on Schedule D.
