Can I use TT Deluxe to enter the sale of a home I sold but never lived in or rented out? I bought the home for my mother-in-law to live in and I paid all the expenses, she paid nothing. We have mover her into Assisted Living place.

You should get a 1099S for the sale of that house. You can enter it in desktop Deluxe; if you use online TurboTax you will need Premier.

I just installed desktop deluxe from my cd disk but I can't find where to input the 1099S information.
Help
The Form 1099-S is not entered on a tax return. The information from the Form 1099-S is used when reporting the sale of the property.
The home sale is reported in the Investment Income section of the TurboTax program. Enter it as a second home since it was not your primary home.
To enter an investment sale other than from a brokerage account (1099-B), follow the steps below.
Or enter investment sales in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to investment sales
