royalty payments received on 1099 MISC

You report the royalty payments on a Schedule E. Make sure you indicate that this is for a royalty and NOT a rental.

Click on Federal

Click on Wages & Income

Scroll down to Rentals, Royalties, and Farm

On Rental Properties and Royalties (Sch E), click the start button
