return rejected due to missing 8283 site says fix after 1/31/26 but still can't today 2/1/26

It's fixed for the "Desktop" software users.....((though maybe not fully tested for all situations .)

Some Online users have said they were told 6 Feb for the Online software.

I just logged in online and the form is now presented so I was able to re-file 

so fingers crossed it’s now accepted

OK, but it would be safer to step thru all those items first.  Usually an address for a Charity needs to be provided for each one with "items" once the for 8283 is being used.  Maybe you already had those addresses in there.  Not sure if it rejects if some addresses are missing.
