Return rejected because type on ssn. Have corrected this but credit card has been charged. If resend by e-file will cc be charged again.

This is on a credit card and bank says charge is pending and suggests waiting 5 days to clear their system as IRS may return charge since filing was rejected. Very concerned if should correct ss number and attempt to refile immediately or wait 5 days. Please advise
