My tax return got rejected because of a missing document, but I just realized I misclicked during e-filing and did not put myself as "can be claimed on someone else's tax return" . How do I fix this? I can't amend it until my return is accepted, but I don't want to re-file without fixing this.

Since your tax return has been rejected, you can fix it by following the steps below:
For additional information, refer to the TurboTax articles Video: What to Do If Your Tax Return Is Rejected by the IRS and What does my rejected return code mean and how do I fix it?
Refer to the TurboTax article: How do I indicate that I can be claimed as a dependent on someone else's return? for more information.
Hi, thanks for the quick reply.
My specific rejection is that I'm missing the 1095 form, but I think it's asking me for that document because I clicked independent. When I go into my personal info, it does not let me make that edit. I am sure I misclicked because upon looking at the 1040 form PDF File, the 12a box is unmarked for "You as a dependent."
EDIT: I just read filling out Retirement Savings Contributions kicks me off as a dependent. How to go about changing that?
I would love to help you but need a little more information so I can understand what you need help with. Are you stating that your tax return was rejected because you didn't include Form 1095-A? Did you have health insurance from the Marketplace? Please clarify.
