Reporting an error in Tax Exempt Interest Dividends "additional infromation" schedule by state

The "Additional Information from 2025 Federal Tax Return" has an error.

This schedule includes a list of tax-exempt interest dividends by state - information asked for as a follow-up question to the brokerage 1099s.  States are listed in alpha order.  However, this schedule starts with California, entirely skipping over Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, and Arkansas.  As a result, not only are the states beginning with the letter "A" missing but the total is also wrong.

This is a continuation statement for the 1099-DIV worksheet it won't be a complete list, the rest is on the other worksheet.  This is in the PDF with "all forms and worksheets" but 1099s are not part of your filing only Schedule B, so if you look at the PDF for your return only, this won't be in there.

Also, when you enter the state %s you don't need to enter every state just the states exempt for you (home state, territories etc) and the rest as Multiple States.

One other issue to be aware of, TT may not be importing the data in 1099-DIV block 12 "Exempt Interest-Dividends. I had data in that block on my Schwab 1099 Composite forms import but it was blank in TT.  I wonder how many years that has been going on?  I only noticed bc Schwab issued a Corrected form and I didnt know if i should import it, delete the whole form or original data so after waiting too long for Intuit customer service I opted to enter the revosed data manually and discovered TT screwed up.  From your question it seems they have multiple problems with this subject....and no easy way to report the error that I could find.

@user17736958041 do you mean the value in Box 12 or the detailed state %s?  Import can't handle all aspects of supplemental tax info needed for 1099s (Munis, US Gov Obligations etc) - you need to review 1099s and provide this info.
