A Member of an LLC paid for legal expenses related to the LLC. The LLC reimbursed the member for these expenses and included the expense on the income statement. Please confirm that the LLC should issue a 1099 directly to the law firm, even though the member was the one who initially paid them.

I believe the LLC should probably file the 1099 (legal fees were paid on behalf of the LLC).
