Refund from paying estimated quarterly taxes

If I'm self employed for 2017, and make all estimated quarterly payments for the correct amounts and by the deadlines will I receive a refund in 2018 for the 2017 tax year?

Refund from paying estimated quarterly taxes

If the amount of estimated tax payments you make in 2017 are greater than your tax liability, then Yes, you would receive a refund.

The refund would be the difference between the amount of estimated taxes paid for 2017 and the 2017 tax liability.
