Recently Married - How to Calculate Withholding for Employer?

Hello,

My wife and I just married August of this year;  How do we calculate the withholding if we are married and filing jointly and both spouses have more than one job? For instance, do we take the total annual wages for each spouse and use these totals to determine the Higher Paying Job and Lower Paying Job?

Turbotax has a great W4 withholding calculator that you can use to estimate the amount of withholding you should have based on your filing status of Married Filing Joint and the income from all of your jobs.

You can use this calculator to enter the income from all 4 of your jobs separtely to estimate the amount of withholding.
