Received 1099-K showing incorrect amount in Box 1a

I received a 1099-K from Uber for delivery work in 2025.  I keep very precise records, and the amount shown in Box 1a is off by over $3000 (too high).  I have contacted Uber, but chances of getting ANY support or a corrected 1099-K from this company are very slim.  How do I report the correct amount of payment that I received from Uber?

You're probably correct that you probably won't get a corrected 1099-K from Uber.  The best thing to do is to input/report the form exactly as it is.  Make the adjustment by entering a miscellaneous business expense (on Schedule C) for the amount of the overstatement.  Be sure to maintain copies of your bank statements that show the deposit amounts.
