Why does my state return still say it's incomplete after I finished and printed it?

I e-filed my Fed return, but had to mail in my MA return because I earned out-of-state income. When I look at "Your tax returns & documents" on my home page, it still says "Continue my MA Return"! I don't see a way to resolve this, please help.

If you printed and mailed your return, it is completed, regardless of what TurboTax says.

TT still says that because it doesn't know that you actually mailed it.

The software has no way to know that you put your state return in an envelope and took it to a mailbox.  TT gets no updates after you print and/or mail your return.

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities,  There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.
