Why does my husbands gross income not match his wages

The number calculated as Adjusted Gross Income on line 7 of your tax return include multiple income types in addition to wages.

 

Other types of income included would be:

  • Interest
  • Dividends
  • IRA's or Pensions
  • Social Security
  • Business Income
  • Taxable Refunds
  • Alimony received
  • Capital Gain
  • Rental Real Estate
  • Royalties
  • Unemployment
