I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE IRS/STATE
TurboTax does not receive any information from the IRS or your state after your return was filed, so no one at TurboTax knows about a letter you received from the IRS or the state.

AUDIT SUPPORT
TurboTax has a special phone number for help with IRS/state tax letters, which will be easier than going through regular Customer Support. At the page below, click on the blue button that says "Get Help from TurboTax Support". Then it will ask you what tax year is your letter. Then it will ask you what the letter concerns. Then it will show you the phone number during posted business hours.

Also note that TT goes by your data input, and answers to the questions. It cannot know if, for example, you made a data entry error, or forgot to claim some income. NJ should have sent you an explanatory letter in addition to the bill.
NJ is one of those states that takes a while to catch up with what you've been filing.
Thank you for responding! My confusion is I filed all my returns using Turbo tax. They accepted my filing every year. Does it mean they found errors in Turbotax filing and only caught up now? So there's chance Turbotax would make mistake?
@junze Users make mistakes and the software still calculates based on entries made by users. If you enter something incorrectly the software does not know it. TT does not check outside sources to see if you entered all of your income or if you typed something in wrong. You need to understand what the state changed to see if you do owe the extra amount.
