Are you exempt from paying state tax? Do others in your state pay tax? Where does your state get funds to run the state?

But I just work in the state and do not live there. I pay taxes in my residential state.

@hbl0005 You added on to someone else's unrelated thread. You are not saying which states you work and / or live in. If they do not have a reciprocal agreement, then you should file a non-resident return first, then a return for the state you live in.
