Which Turbo Tax Version do I need?

Hello! I have children that are required to file tax returns. They received a W2 and also a 1099-INT. Given they receive a 1099-INT will the FREE Turbo Tax version work or do I need to upgrade? Also, would I need to set up a separate Turbo Tax account for all 3 of them or is there an option to file children's returns within my own free account? Thank you!

Yes, you can use the Free Edition for your children's return.

Simple tax situations covered in TurboTax Free Edition include:

• W-2 income
• Limited interest and dividend income reported on a 1099-INT or 1099-DIV
• Claiming the standard deduction
• Earned Income Tax Credit (EIC)
• Child tax credits

You will need to create an account for each return, if you use the same account, one return would overwrite another.  You can use the same email address for up to 5 accounts.
