I got to the end of my business return and realized I entered wages paid (to myself as only employee of S Corp) as gross wages and not net wages after taxes. I can't figure out how to go back and change it. I got to a page toward the end about adjusting something but I can't even find that now.

you report gross wages. the employer's share of fica and medicare is a payroll tax deduction. you do not reduce your gross wage deduction by your share of FICA and Medicare nor federal withholding and if yo paid health insurance or there was personal use of the company vehicles if any, they get added to gross wages.
simple bookkeeping entries:
debit gross wages
credit fica taxes payable for the amount taken out of your paycheck
credit medicare taxes payable for the amount withheld
credit federal withholding taxes payable for amount withheld
credit cash for net check.
when you remit the taxes to the IRS you
debit fica taxes payable
debit medicare taxes payable
debit fica expense for employer's share
debit medicare expense for employer's share
debit federal withholding taxes payable
credit cash
basic bookkeeping
if you don't understand this consult a tax pro because there could be other items you are misreporting
Thanks! I'm not sure what you mean about all the 'debits' and 'credits.' Where am I debiting and crediting them?
I'm asking because of this page in my tax return below. When I click on 'Wage' it says something about enter net wages and somethings about taxes withheld. So I'm not sure if I should have $25,000 there, or the amoutn after the taxes withheld.
