TurboTax does not make your payment. TT only passed your information along to the IRS. It is up to the IRS to take your payment out of your account. TurboTax will receive no updates; TurboTax never knows when, how or even if you paid your tax due. You will need to watch your own bank/credit card account.

TurboTax does not process your tax payment to the IRS. If you selected direct debit for the federal taxes owed that bank information was sent with the e-filed tax return to the IRS. The IRS debits your account on or after the date you selected for payment.
