What If Worksheet - 2022 Standard Deduction is incorrect

Hi,

Could someone please inform Second Level Support that the TurboTax 2021 What If Worksheet is not calculating the Standard Deduction for 2022 correctly.  The worksheet appears to be using the 2021 Standard Deduction amounts in the calculation.

View > Forms

Form: What-if Wks

Option - Copy Columns: Check "Copy column 1 to column 2"

Column 2: Check "Check Box to use 2022 Tax Rates"

Column 2, Item 39, Row - Standard Deduction:  The amounts shown are based on 2021 Tax Rates, not 2022 Tax Rates.

All other Column 2 calculations are using 2022 Tax Rates correctly.

Thanks

Has someone looked at this, it has been over two months? Am I the only one having this problem? I would be happy to engage with a Moderator to discuss my issue in detail. Thanks.

Feedback from the TurboTax development team is that this issue is a product enhancement and is not a high priority.  Therefor do not expect to have this issue corrected in the TurboTax 2021 software.

Not a good answer but that is all we have got from them.

Since the standard deduction only changes a couple of hundred dollars from year to year and this tool is just for estimations  I highly doubt that such a small issue will cause the estimation figure to be off by much.  Remember that all the other figures are also estimations as well and any pending tax law changes are also not factored in so the best you will get is a close approximation of the bottom line of a 2022 return.
